Postcards that take longer to return from holiday than the sender are a pain for those of us who continue to observe the age-old tradition of holiday hellos.
Now a firm based in Devon, has the solution. The Postcards App, a free download, allows holiday makers to create their own postcards through an iPhone or Android device.
Using the application is so simple, simply select the image by either taking a new photo or choose one from your library, then flip the postcard over and write your message on the back. Lastly insert the postal address of where the postcard is to be card sent to and it will be printed and dispatched the same day.
The application itself is free and we charge only £0.99p per card and this includes postage to anywhere in the UK, or £1.49 for anywhere in the world! Somewhat cheaper than their competitors!
Please note, all payments are processed through PayPal, so you need to know your username and password to make this application work!
During an initial 2 month trial, over 18,000 holiday-goers sent such postcards and the Postcards App already sits comfortably in the top 75 “free stuff” of the App Store travel section.
Just think, you never have to traipse around a foreign town looking for someone selling stamps, when you could be having another glass of vino in the Italian sun!
